Sunset Story

The last July 4th holiday posed a wonderful day. Myself and the family all packed up into the RV and headed for the Gulf coast. It was going to be a wonderful weekend, we could tell. It started out a bit rough after we got there. We ended up with a camp site that did not have any electrical hook-ups but we were prepared for that and had brought the generator. It was all gased up and ready to go. It wasn't too long after setting up camp and breaking a good sweat that we decided that getting in out of the heat would be a nice reprieve. We started up the generator, had all the fans running and relaxed a bit. Not forty minutes later the generator began to sputter and cough. yup, it was out of gas. I wasn't prepared for that. So, the rest of the trip went quite hot and sweaty. The only time we cooled off was when we were either in the ocean up to our necks or in the camp's bathrooms where it was air conditioned.

Even with all that heat suffering, we managed to have a good time.

In this first photo, the sun on the beach was just beginning to set. We were waiting for darkness to set in so that the fire works would begin.

In the second photo, the kids worked on digging a hole in the beach and they all climbing into it for the picture. There are two of our kids missing in this photo, they were in Maine with their grandparents visiting. Yes, six kids total. what a crew! (my husband and I have been married for 18 years now)

So, in the future, we will either A-Get a reservation; B-Carry enough gasoline to last the vacation stay; or C-Both.

Lesson learned.

Happy RVing!!
