We had started getting the RV ready and some packed five days prior to our departure. It will probably five days more after getting home to get everything back to where it belongs.
We had a fabulous time in Ft DeSoto!! The last full day we were there it rained all day long and it made for a great chance to relax and play Dominoes and watch movies. We were fully rested for the camp-tear-down the next day.
There are seven miles of bike trails out on this peninsula, two beaches, two piers, the Fort and the Gift Shop. All wonderful visits.
On East Beach we found star fish, sea urchins, sea snails, multiple types of crabs and
sting rays. Several types of cranes and pelicans were all about. We had a great time exploring the beach. There were signs warning of rip tides, so it gave us a chance to search the shallows instead of swim. The swimming beach was at North Beach. We spent our time there as well. There are Shower Shelters all over, very well kept. Overall,
everything was quite clean and handy, never out of toilet paper...very important.

We did some fishing off the pier and got to see a baby dolphin with its parents swimming around. That was a real treat.
The trip home was just as fun as the whole trip as well. I am so grateful for the RV and its bathroom. It makes for less stopping which is a plus.
Plenty of stories to go with this trip...
