On to the Grand Canyon! Wha-hoooo! It was most definitely the most breath-taking scenery that we have ever seen in real life. Yes, we say the blue ice burgs sliding every-so slowly down between the mountains on our drive to Seward, Alaska. Yes we saw a wild grizzly bear digging for grubs in the fall over in Denali National Park, Alaska. Yes, we even got to see the start of the Yukon Quest in 2002. We even got to see the Hoover Dam, but this! This beat them all easy! Hands down!
As we worked our way up into the brim of the canyon, our anticipation grew. We continually
scanned the woods for wild life. There were several bucks and their doe spotted and we even saw a coyote. We saw the trail burros getting ready to head out with their team.
Then we arrived.

Then we arrived.
Once parked and out of the RV, (kinks and chinks all worked out of our travel-wary-butts) we stood in awe the rest of the visit. Here are just some of the dozens of photos we took.

Along with this crow picture is a cute story. He most definitely was human-oriented. He stayed just out of touch. We reached out to him several times, and he would hop or even just lean just enough to avoid the touch. Funny. The kids were tossing him crackers. He looked each piece over very carefully. Then he chose one and picked it up. Then he hopped over to the next piece and very skillfully picked that one up too, stacking it on top of the first piece. He continued to do this until he had five pieces of cracker all stacked up one-on-top of the other in his beak. Then, in an instant, they all flew out of his beak like playing 52-pick-up with a deck of cards. Phhhhhhh! All over the ground again. It was funny. Instead of trying to stack them again, he just stood over them, protecting them from other crows and ate them.
Here, our second daughter, our jokester, made it look like she was hanging off the edge of the
abyss. "Good one, Jen!"
