Ripening of the Season

Even for Alabama, the seasons change. True, here, there are really only two definable seasons - Hot and Cool. But even so, the air is getting a bit nippy in the mornings and some of the selected foliage is starting to change colors and fall off.
As these days ponder the upcoming winter months, it seems to me it's asking for a visit. These are the perfect temperatures to go hike a small mountain or to visit the beach without umbrella-to-umbrella beach lovers taking up their own space.
When we visited the beach last weekend for the day, there were few couples and families scattered across the beach. Our family of eight had more than enough room to spread out and enjoy all that the beach has to offer. I didn't find another shark's tooth, but we gathered a lot of jingles (penny sized half-shells of clams) That more than made up for it. I will put them altogether on a leather tether and hang them from the RV's rear view mirror. We'll hear its jingling music each time we ride.
We haven't taken on a mountain yet, but it sure is a goal of mine. I'll be sure to be toting the camera case along when we finally do go and share our adventure with you.

But for now, I would love to hear from you! So go ahead, write that personal story, that funny one, that sad one, or even the one where Uncle Joe nearly drowned. Tell me your story and I'll include it in my next book RV Stories By You.

Email it to: rvstories@roadrunner.com Today!
