I suppose it can't be put off too much long. Most put their trees up on Thanksgiving weekend. 
We intended to, but was distracted with other things. But we did manage to finally get the tree put up. We decided the front room window would be it's place this year.
The kids drew pictures on paper plates for their little personal touch. I am sure that we won't even be able to see the tree by Christmas Day. I think they make something every day for the tree. My mother hand-made the tree skirt. It's beautiful! It complete's the tree.
After it was up and plugged in, our youngest went outside to check it out. He came to me in the kitchen all wide-eyed and declared, "You can see the tree from the outside!" He was so excited that our idea was successful. He was so cute!
